For my course in classroom management, one of our final projects was to put together a binder, or a “tool kit”, of all resources and ideas that we have for our own classroom management. We divided the materials into sections such as: Classroom Layout, Seating Plans, Displays, Teaching Rules, and Cultural Responsiveness. This binder will aid me when I have my own classroom because I will have already compiled different ideas of how I want my classroom to look, the different types of seating arrangements I can incorporate, in addition to different centers or areas I want to have in my classroom. We spent a lot of time discussing behavior management and I included tips and strategies under those sections to allow me to review them before I begin teaching.
