I had the opportunity in one of my courses to draft my own educational evaluation to determine if a student is eligible for special education. I was able to use the Detroit Tests of Learning Aptitude 4 (DTLA-4) and complete a mock evaluation on a student. I had experience working hands on with the testing materials and instructions, as well as scoring the test. Once that was completed, I was required to write up an evaluation to determine if the student would be eligible for special education services. I went through the process of filling out background information on my student as well as analyzing testing information and determining the eligibility of the student.
